Our church was first organized on October 25, 1879, by the Rev. G.W. Gallagher and started out with a congregation of only 20 people. The first members worshiped in a building on the corner of 24th and Lincoln and as membership grew moved to 24th and Adams and dedicated that building on March 20, 1905. As the years rolled by and the church continued to grow, the members decided to build the current building on the corner of 28th and Quincy and dedicated that building on June 19, 1955, where it stands to this day.

Our Story

Who We Are

First Presbyterian Church of Ogden is unusual among PC(USA) churches in the state of Utah because our church family is well represented by people who hold a wide variety of theological views. Conservative, Moderate, Liberal, Not-quite-sure-what-I-believe; you will find them all here! We encourage growth by listening, respecting, honoring and supporting each other as we work together to share God's love with the world.

What We Believe
