I am sorry to have to share that our friend Woodie Goodness passed away on Saturday evening. There will be a graveside service this Wednesday, June 26, at 11 am at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, South Ogden. Please join us if you want to honor Woodie in that way. What a blessing for Woodie and his family and friends to know that he is now truly home at last.
Our worship yesterday was a joy—a great example of our movement IN towards community—whether it was the group moving out mattresses and cleaning up the CE building after our FamilyPromise guests left, or sharing strawberry shortcake and birthday wishes after worship, or singing together and celebrating the ordination and installation of our new elders and deacons—we were living out our life together connected to (abiding in!) Jesus.
This coming weekend is Camp Utaba and in worship on Sunday we will be focusing on the “OUT—in Service” direction of our life together. Many of us have experienced the joy of helping others—I hope you can join us as we focus on how we can do that. Our former church in Bellevue has a mission of bringing Jesus’ love and healing where you live, work, play and learn. What a great way of putting it! They have put together a “Love Where You Are” resource booklet that has some great ideas. Check it out! https://belpres.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/LWYA_Booklet_web.pdf
Have a wonderful week as you live empowered by Jesus!
