Sunday Morning Worship

Worship begins at 10 am. Communion Sunday is typically the first Sunday of the month. Everyone is welcome!

Children/Youth Ministries

We offer a variety of programs for the young people in our congregation that support our commitment to including children and youth in all aspects of worship. Children participate in collecting the offering and lighting of the sanctuary candles before worship. Additionally, every 5th Sunday is a “special” worship featuring FPC Youth as liturgists. The youth also contribute to our worship, sharing music they have prepared for the congregation.

Sunday School begins at 10 am. children and youth attend the beginning portion of Worship with their families and leave after the “children’s message” part of the service. The remainder of the class time is spent in individual classes in the Christian Education Building. On communion Sundays, they attend their class first and join their family for communion.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry started at First Presbyterian in 2006. The ministry makes shawls, lap robes and baby blankets for those in our community in need of comfort. These items are given to new mothers, cancer patients, families dealing with the death of a loved one, victims of a vehicle accident and other community members experiencing upheaval in their lives. The Prayer Shawl group meets weekly, every Wednesday at 1:00 pm from Sept-May. In June and August, meetings are reduced to once a month, same time and place.  Everyone who knits, crochets or wants to learn is welcome. We always have a great time.

Music Ministry

Our Music Ministry is ever changing to fit the needs and desires of our congregation.

As a congregation we sing traditional hymns and enjoy a variety of soloists. Our vocal soloists sing traditional, contemporary, spiritual, and folk songs. Also included is a celloist, flutist and harpist. In the very near future, Praise Music will be added to our Sunday Worship. Every 5th Sunday is a “special” worship featuring FPC Youth as liturgists. The youth also contribute to our worship, sharing music they have prepared for the congregation.
